Admission Procedure and Eligibility

At Saraswathi Excel Matric Higher Secondary School, our admission process is designed to ensure clarity, fairness, and ease for all parents and guardians. Below are the details of the procedure and eligibility criteria for admission to various grades:

Eligibility Criteria

LKG and UKG

Age Requirement:
For LKG, the child must have completed 3 years and 6 months as of June 1st of the admission year.
For UKG, the child must have completed 4 years and 6 months as of June 1st of the admission year.

Classes I to VIII

Age Requirement: Minimum age as per the grade requirement (e.g., 5 years and 6 months for Class I).
Prior Academic Records: Admission is based on the submission of the child’s progress report and transfer certificate from the previous school.

Classes IX and X

Admission is subject to availability and requires submission of prior academic records, transfer certificate, and performance in an entrance assessment.

Classes XI and XII

Eligibility is based on the performance in the Class X board exams.
Students must choose a stream (Science or Computer Science) based on their marks in specific subjects (Mathematics and Science) and their career aspirations.

Admission Procedure

Enquiry and Application

Parents/Guardians can visit the school office or contact the admission desk to collect the application form and prospectus.
The application form must be completed accurately with all required details.

Interaction/Entrance Test

For admissions to LKG and UKG, an informal interaction with the child and parents may be conducted.
For Classes I to XII, an entrance test may be conducted to assess the student’s knowledge and aptitude in subjects like English, Mathematics, and Science.

Submission of Documents

Copy of Birth Certificate of the Student.
Copy of Aadhaar Card of the student and parents.
Copy of Community Certificate of the Student.
Copy of Ration Card of the Family.
Original Transfer Certificate (for Classes I and above).
Progress Report/Mark Sheet of the last attended academic year.
Passport-sized photographs of the student and parents/guardians

Interview with Principal

After qualifying in the interaction/entrance test, parents and students will meet with the Principal for a final discussion regarding school policies, curriculum, and expectations.

Fee Payment

Upon confirmation of admission, parents must complete the fee payment process within the stipulated time to secure the seat.

Confirmation of Admission

Admission will be confirmed after the verification of documents and receipt of the admission fee.

Age Requirement
